Is your skin as dry as your Christmas Turkey?
I can’t believe how quick this month is going. It’s the middle if January already and is freezing cold! I am thinking about my skin journey as I type this blog and it has been one of adventure.
My skin is normally in good condition but you know what? I have bad days, and bad seasons just like you.
Yes I am dealing with a BREAKOUT. Spots, dryness and irritation galore, the orchestra has come out to play, but there is hope. What has worked for me previously is simplifying my skin routine to rebalance my skin and improve texture.
Here are my tips that you can use for your skin this month.
Hydration: This should not be underestimated as it is such a game changer, it makes the world go around when it comes to your skin. Use a good hydrating serum daily to keep your skin moist and a great looking pallet for when you apply your makeup.
Cleanse: Twice daily, this really does clean and calm the skin.
Moisturise: Find a moisturiser that suits your skin type whether it be oily or dry, this step is so important for the protection of the skin.
SPF: Do not leave home without it, minimum factor 30.
As well a doing the above regularly for my skin, I am also going to be having some in clinic treatments such as chemical peels and microneedling.
This is a great time to get into the routine for these treatments especially before spring/summer, as it’s a lot cooler for the skin.
